Winter Workshops

Look what we’ve been up to this winter! The group of greenhouse farmers attended a workshop with UNH Cooperative Extension to learn about selling to institutions and restaurants, food safety and Good Agricultural Practices, risk management, and more. We are excited to expand our markets!

Give the Gift of a CSA and Shop with Meaning this Holiday Season!

With the holiday season upon us, it’s easy to become discouraged by the vast consumerism surrounding our communities and lose sight of the true meanings of generosity.  That’s why Fresh Start Farms is offering the option to share the gift of a CSA with your friends, family, or community members this season.  It’s unique. It’s practical.  And both the gift giver and receiver can feel good knowing they are supporting the local economy, the earth, and the refugee farmers.  Whether you are a loyal CSA member yourself, or are new to the experience, we make gifting a CSA easy.

  1. Email and let us know you are interested
  2. You can purchase a single or family share for the summer, autumn, or full season, with checks payable to ORIS/Fresh Start Farms
  3. We will mail you a beautiful gift-certificate to give, with the option of including a personalized message, as well as information about the refugees you’re supporting
